Play Your Part

Some folks want the role, but they refuse to play their part……

Just Keep It Real

The moment you went from thinking you were having a genuine conversation with someone to knowing that it was baited the whole time. smh

Your Labor of Love

I so completely love this song that is sung by Point of Grace.  This song paints such a vivid picture about Mary giving birth to Jesus.

I am so glad that Mary did not act a fool when the Angel came upon her and told her what was to come in the weeks and months ahead.  I am sure that she wasn’t completely thrilled, but with a yielded heart she walked out this magnificent purpose that God ordained especially for her.

The song speaks of Mary and Joseph, and then describes the baby in her womb as the …..

Maker of the Moon, the Author of the Faith, one that can make the mountains move…..wow

Makes me wonder…. what I am holding in my spiritual womb that has yet to be birthed?  What are you holding dear friends that will affect your community, the nations, perhaps the world?    While it is an honor to be used of God, sometimes we are not completely thrilled, it is uncomfortable and inconvenient.  Talk about inconvenient, Mary was to be married to Joseph and then boom!  She is pregnant.  Joseph probably looked at her crazy at first and you know how people talk….creating a past that you were never even an active participant in and you have to live with the lies.  Ohhhh, but the grace that is bestowed by God!

Sometimes we don’t even think that we can do what we are being called to do.  The absolute truth is that you will not experience the grace until you start walking it out.  God’s grace is not active in our hesitancy, His grace becomes active when we begin to fulfill the purpose that He has laid before us.  He gives us the grace to do what he has purposed…..

Think…..what is your labor of love?

Walk It Out

It is easy to tell someone else how they should “walk in a pair of shoes” that they have never tried on themselves-therefore it can never be known what it takes for some to put one foot in front of the other each day and walk…some things are just easier said than done.

Love….. Just Outside My Grasp

A man came into the office a while back and asked for his bride then said her name, but he said not to tell her that he was there just say that she was needed in the office. So I did. While we he was waiting, I asked him how long they have been married thinking that they were newlyweds based on his “giddiness” to see his wife. He said,” oh we been married over 15 years, but I love her like the day I said I do”. (Beautiful!!!) By that time she walks into the office and sees her husband standing there. This usually straightlaced, no frills woman, all of a sudden turned into a rosy cheeked, bright eyed, giggling lady. They rushed to each other grabbed hands, look at each other and just smile and sigh. Okay by now, I am grabbing Kleenex cuz I am about to cry! He said to her, “I was in the area and I was too close not to be just right with you, I am taking you to lunch, baby”. (Water works!!!!!!). They ska-doodle off and I am left there pondering….love. That type of thing always seems just outside of my grasp, but God knows what I need and when I need it. Happy for them and still pressing on -Helen

Thank You

I have thoroughly learned the importance of having an enemy. Thank you for every lie that was told and for the lies that you continue to tell. I even thank you for the spirit of division that was cast and for the remnants that are still scattered. Thank you for every person you brought into your web of deception but was made to believe that I was the spider. Thank you for every laugh and giggle projected at my pain. Thank you for doubting the validity of my walk with God. Thank you for every word that you spoke against God’s purpose for me. Without resistance, strength is seldom gained…. and really, I just want to say… thank you.

Set A Part

Sometimes not being a part of something does not mean that you are bad or unworthy, sometimes it adds to or highlights your significance…..Helen

With My Name On It

I was covering the front desk at the office this afternoon when a florist delivered a beautiful boquet of flowers. Immediately, my heart started pitter pattering and I thought, maybe juuuuuuust maybe those flowers were for me.

They weren’t.

Am I surprised? No, unless I have a secret admirer – there is no one who would be sending me such a lovely arrangement of flowers.

The good part is that I don’t get sad about it anymore, instead I find myself smiling with a glimmer of hope in mind….that perhaps one day when I am least expecting it…..that soft, fragrant expression of love will arrive with my name on it.

Learn As You Grow

I would rather make a thousand mistakes and learn and grow from each them, than to stay stagnant and imprisoned in one mistake……Helen

Introvert

Yes, I am introvert!!! (standing on a mountain top, beating my chest – okay that is a bit much lol)

One of the most common misconceptions about introverts is that they don’t like people. Not true, I love people. I am captivated by their stories, the fellowship and I am compelled to reach out to inspire, learn from, and help people. I love parties and gatherings, BUT, being around people is draining for an introvert. Soooo….if I step away for a few minutes it is only to recharge with my owns thoughts, some quiet, and then I am as good as new.

For years, I have been told that there is something wrong with me. Well I could say the same of extroverts, come on, what is wrong with these people? You know, those super hype people who want to know exactly why you aren’t “hype” like them and then proceed to try to make you super hype to validate their insanity? lol

Bottomline my fellow innies, know, love, appreciate how you are, and while it is important to bend, don’t allow the others to push your boundaries too too far. The world needs you! Can you imagine a world FULL of extroverts, oh goodness no! Now come on – let’s go ponder the universe.

(BTW – pondering the universe is one of my favorite things to do…it really is – I get butterflies just thinking about it)

Peace Always – Helen
